Classrooms Maintenance Listing can be set to help track Room Usage in the base reports (Faculty > Base Reports > Registrar Reports > Room Used Listing).

Create Classroom Listing

  1. Navigate to Registrar > Classroom Maintenance
  2. Click New Record
    Semester: Select the Semester you would like to have the classroom available for instruction
    Room: [Important] Type in the Room number EXACTLY how it should be input in the Course Information "Location" Tab window
    Day: Select one day the classroom will be used on and what day needs to be pulled into reports. Only one day is supported per entry. If a classroom is in use five days a week, one entry for each day will need to be created for five total entries.
    1 - Monday
    2 - Tuesday
    3 - Wednesday
    4 - Thursday
    5 - Friday
    6 - Saturday
    7 - Sunday
    Capacity: The number of seats available in the room
    Wall Type Code: A way to denote a classroom partition such as a partially opened classroom or a classroom with a wall that can be opened to combine rooms. Options set in STParm RRWACD
    Seating Code: The arrangement of seats in the room (e.g. desks, tables, auditorium). Options set in STParm RRSECD
    Audio Video Code: A way to denote the technical equipment available in the room. Options set in STParm RRAVCD
    Blackboard Code: A way to denote the instructor's writing instrument (e.g. chalkboard, whiteboard). Options set in STParm RRBBCD
    Phone Area: The area code of the phone number for the phone in the classroom
    Phone Exchange: The exchange portion of the phone number for the phone in the classroom
    Phone: The last portion of the phone number for the phone in the classroom
    Phone Extension: The extension of the phone number for the phone in the classroom
  3. Click Create

Copy Classrooms from one Semester to Another

You can use the "Copy Classrooms" tool to copy your classroom setup from one semester to another to save time.

1. Click "Copy Classrooms button 

2. Select Source Semester and destination Target Semester and press Copy
