    About Real-time Billing

    Campus Cafe can be configured to produce charges immediately upon registration. The charges appear on the student's bill but as a temporary charge in the financial module. Once group billing is run, the temporary charges are removed and replaced with the posted charges generated from group billing.

    These temporary charges do not impact financial aid, which is driven by the cost of attendance.

    Turn on Real-time Billing

    Important
    For real-time billing to work, billing rules must be established for the semester.

    Real-time billing is controlled by checking the  Temporary Billing Active? box in Registration Control (Registrar > Registration Control) for the desired semester.
