About Batch Salutation Update

The salutation batch process is designed for use during initial import of data. The process creates greetings for individuals that can later be used in certain reports or as a merge field in workflows.

Adding Salutations

Salutations (e.g. Mr., Miss., Dr., etc.) are configured by adding or editing STParms (Admin > STPARM Maintenance) using Parameter Code XXXXSU.

Create Salutations

Permission #864 is required to access this function.

1. Navigate to Admin > Batch Salutation Update
2. To create salutations for all records, check the box. To create salutations only for alumni, leave the box unchecked.
3. Click Submit
4. Confirm you wish to run the process
5. Do not leave the page until the process is complete
