Gift Purpose

About Gift Purpose

Donations can be associated with a specific purpose. For example, to indicate the donation supports a new basketball arena or music venue.

Configure Gift Purpose

1. Navigate to Alum/Dev> Gift Purpose
2. In the Add Purpose Code enter a short name for the purpose
3. Click Submit
   Description: Text to characterize the purpose
   CC-GL-Fund: The Campus Cafe General Ledger fund associated with gifts for this purpose
   Fund: The donation module fund associated with gifts for this purpose
   Display Order: A number to represent where in the list of gift purposes the purpose shows on a donation form
   Show on Donation Form: Check to indicate purpose should be presented to donors while making a gift
   Inactive: Check to hide purpose from drop down menu when recording gifts
4. Click Save
