Impersonate User
Campus Cafe has the function to impersonate or "act as" another user in the system without the need of logging into another users account.
In order to enable this function a user must have one of the following permissions enabled:
Permission 1272 to allow the impersonation of a student
Permission 1273 to allow the impersonation of any user
To impersonate
- Navigate to the student or user's profile
- Click "Impersonate" under the profile picture
CAUTION
When a user impersonates another, they will have full access to their account and any functionality or permissions that the user has.
For example, if you give the Registrar's permission group access to impersonate "Any User", they could impersonate an "Admin" that has permissions that the Registrar may not currently have.
Any action that takes place will be audit logged as the impersonated user; however, the audit log will show a record of when the impersonation starts and ends to verify which actions may have taken place under impersonation.
