About Pre-Requisite Enforcement

Campus Café supports pre-requisites and co-requisites and will enforce them when a student attempts to register provided proper permissions are set.

Turn on Pre-requisite enforcement

1. Navigate to Admin > Custom Control Maintenance
2. Locate the Programid PREREQ, Sequence Number 1
3. Set the Value to Y

Enforce pre-requisites for specific permission groups

To force users in a permission group to respect pre and co-requisites, adjust their permission groups accordingly.

• Permission 281 under the My Info permission module. Set to NA to prevent adding classes that require pre or co-requisites if the student does not have them.
• Permission 526 under the My Info permission module. Do not set to NA for the pre-requisite message needed error to appear when classes are added through My Info
• Permission 562 under the Student permission module. Do not set to NA for the pre-requisite message needed error to appear when classes are added administratively
• Permission 563 under the Student permission module. Set to NA to prevent adding classes that require pre or co-requisites if the student does not have them when classes are added administratively.

 Permission 762 under the Registrar group is required to see the Prerequisite Maintenance tab in courses.

Pre-requiste Rule for In-progress courses

To allow an in-progress course to fulfill a pre-requiste, the blank grade must have have the Force Prereq checked.
