About Holds

Holds may be informational for the student/advisors or they may be configured to prevent enrollment, swapping classes, dropping classes, viewing the class schedule or viewing the unofficial transcript. Users may be granted permissions to disregard the impact of a hold.

Important
Permissions must be configured for holds to be respected. See setting up holds for additional information.

Apply Hold to an Individual Student

  1. Navigate to the student > Person Selected > Holds Codes
  2. Under the desired type of hold, choose the hold
  3. Click Add

Remove a Hold from an Individual Student

  1. Navigate to the student > Person Selected > Holds Codes
  2. Check the box next to the hold(s) to remove
  3. Click Remove Selected

Apply a Hold to a Group of Students

  1. Navigate to the Student Finder
  2. Use the filters to select the desired population of students
  3. Check the selected box next to all students to apply the hold
  4. Click the +Holds button
  5. Click For Page (apply hold just to result on page) or For All (apply hold to all results)
  6. A new screen appears. From the Code Array drop down select the code array
  7. In the Code drop down, select the hold
  8. Choose the Add Hold radio button
  9. Click Submit
  10. Wait for the process to finish. The process will automatically skip applying the hold to students who already have the hold.

Remove a Hold from a Group of Students

  1. Navigate to the Student Finder
  2. Use the filters to select the desired population of students
  3. Check the selected box next to all students to apply the hold
  4. Click the +Holds button
  5. Click For Page (apply hold just to result on page) or For All (apply hold to all results)
  6. A new screen appears. From the Code Array drop down select the code array
  7. In the Code drop down, select the hold
  8. Choose the Remove Hold radio button
  9. Click Submit
  10. Wait for the process to finish
