About Time Conflict Overrides

Based on permissions, Campus Cafe will permit or prevent registering students for two classes that meet at the same time. To always allow registration for two classes that meet at the same time, a time conflict override may be configured.

Enter Time Conflict Override

Permission #476 is required to access this function.

In the example below, a student registered for MTH101 would be permitted to register for STA102 even though STA102 meets at the same time as MTH101. However, the reverse would not be true unless a second record is created where STA102 is set as the Course Number and MTH101 set as the Override Course Number.

  1. Navigate to Registrar > Time Conflict Override
  2. Click New Record
Semester: The term for which the override applies
Course Number: The complete course number of the course in which the student is currently registered (e.g. MTH101)
Course Section: The section number of the course in which the student is currently registered (e.g. 3)
Override Course Number: The complete course number of the course the student is attempting to add (e.g. STA102)
Override Course Section: The section number of the course the student is attempting to add (e.g. 5)
